I enjoyed reading this, and I remember our teachers fondly. When I started teaching, I worked with several of them at CHASE middle, and it was surreal. Do you remember that Brandy was with us in Kindergarten at Alexander? When I became a Christian, the first friend I couldn’t wait to tell was Brandy. She loved Jesus, her family, and all her friends.
I do, Jamie. I remember her in Kindergarten at Alexander quite well, actually, and I remember instantly recognizing her when I got to Harris. And thank you for confirming what I strongly suspected--that she loved the Lord.
You know something interesting, Jamie? I knew that was sung at her funeral, and I know "Friends are Friends Forever" is on her grave marker. And I looked at where she signed my 7th grade annual, and what is there but "F/F"? :)

As Jan sang at Brandy's funeral, "Friends are friends forever if the Lord's the Lord of them." Nikol also sang it at our graduation.
